AES Hawthorn is looking for an experienced Emergency Veterinarian to join our team in permanent part-time position. You’ll be part of a supportive, skilled, and dynamic group of professionals in a state-of-the-art emergency and critical care clinic. This is a permanent part-time role contracted between 40–60 hours per fortnight, with the potential for additional hours for the right candidate. At AES Hawthorn, you’ll experience a wide variety of cases and responsibilities — from consulting and surgical work to medical and intensive care. You’ll collaborate with some of the best ECC professionals in the industry, with a strong culture of mentorship and knowledge-sharing. Our focus is on sustainable emergency medicine and true work-life balance. We achieve this through flexible rostering, 10-hour shifts, and a supportive scheduling team that genuinely looks after your downtime. As a 24-hour hospital, shifts are shared fairly across the full day, with an average of four night shifts per month and a balanced mix of days and evenings. We’re proud to operate as an open hospital, where clients are welcomed as part of their pet’s medical journey. Strong communication and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do. We believe transparency and empathy are just as important as clinical excellence.
