As an Emergency Room Tech, you will support safe, cost-efficient patient care in the Emergency Department, performing delegated functions from the RN or Physician.Every day you will conduct selected diagnostics and procedures, assist with patient transport and lifting, and provide general clerical and cleaning support to the unit.To be successful in this role you will effectively execute delegated tasks, support unit operations, and contribute to a safe and efficient environment.
Job Responsibility
Support safe, cost-efficient patient care in the Emergency Department
Perform delegated functions from the RN or Physician
Conduct selected diagnostics and procedures
Assist with patient transport and lifting
Provide general clerical and cleaning support to the unit
Assists in implementing plan of care by performing common clinical procedures and tasks within scope of practice
Demonstrates competency in the delivery of care and clinical techniques, including Basic Airway Management, CPR, Vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, oral and rectal temperature, Respirations, and pulse oximetry, Electrocardiogram
Requirements
High School Graduate General Studies, upon hire
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program OR Medical Assistant program OR Certified Nursing Assistant Program, OR Licensed Practical Nurse program OR completion of one year of nursing school, upon hire
High School GED General Studies, upon hire
Certified Nursing Assistant: WA, upon hire
Licensed Practical Nurse: WA, upon hire
Medical Assistant Certification: WA, upon hire
Registered Nursing Assistant: WA, upon hire
Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
