Job Responsibility:

  • Provides direct and individualized nursing care to a group of patients based on the application of scientific principles and ENA standards
  • Receives documents and executes the provider’s orders as per policy/standards
  • Prepares, administers and records medications in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications by a RN or LPN
  • Responds and participates in emergency care
  • Provides emergency care according to ENA standards and unit policy and procedures
  • Follows nursing care and all related activities in ER according to policies, procedures, philosophy and objectives of the department and Medical Center
  • Complete monthly chore assignments, as delegated by team lead

Requirements:

  • Current License in the state of Kansas as a RN
  • CPR
  • ACLS
  • TNCC
  • PALS
  • NIH
  • NRP within 6 months of employment
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in clinical practice
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills dealing with physicians, team members, patients and families
