As Emergency Response Planning (ERP) Manager, you'll play a crucial role in our airline's safety infrastructure, supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Emergency Response Plan (ERP) for the local Air Operator Certificate (AOC) holder. Working within our Airline Safety function, you'll ensure compliance with UK CAA/ and IOSA regulations while maintaining a dotted line reporting relationship to the TUI Airline ERP Coordinator. We are happy to consider this role on a hybrid working model basis in line with local office attendance requirements.
Job Responsibility:
Assist in the creation, review, and continuous improvement of the Emergency Response Plan to meet UK CAA/EASA AOC requirements and industry best practices, ensuring alignment with EASA Part-ORO.GEN.200
Maintain comprehensive ERP documentation, including manuals, checklists, and contact lists ensuring processes comply with UK CAA/EASA regulations to include those related to Safety Management Systems
Organise and deliver training sessions for key personnel in accordance with UK CAA/EASA requirements as well as planning and execution of regular emergency exercises and drills to validate ERP effectiveness, monitoring participation and identifying areas for improvement
Liaise with the local regulatory authorities and ensure readiness for audits and inspections on behalf of the AOC Safety Manager including preparation of compliance reports and evidence
Work closely with Safety, Operations, and Ground Handling teams to ensure seamless integration of ERP protocols while coordinating with local external stakeholders to align response strategies on behalf of the AOC and/or Safety Manager
Serve as a key member of the ERP Team during actual emergencies, facilitating information flow between departments, external agencies, and regulatory bodies ensuring maintenance of detailed records and logs for post-event analysis and timely submission of regulatory reports
Assist in conducting post-incident reviews, documenting lessons learned, and updating the ERP accordingly
Act as a local point of contact for ERP-related queries and support requests and deputise for the ERP Lead and other ERP Managers as required
Requirements:
Comprehensive knowledge of UK CAA/EASA regulations related to emergency response, safety management, and compliance (e.g., ORO.GEN.200). Relevant certification in aviation-specific emergency planning and/or bachelors degree in related field desirable
Proven experience in emergency response planning, crisis management, or safety management within the aviation industry. Familiarity with ICAO Annex 19 and IATA Emergency Response guidelines would be highly regarded
Excellent communication skills, particularly in high-pressure situations, and can build, leverage and manage stakeholder relationships effectively
A natural problem solver and effective collaborator while also taking initiative on independent tasks
Understand the principles of Safety Management Systems and experience working in a safety-critical sector with proficiency in relevant ERP tools and software
Strong business English, both spoken and written, and may involve some international travel
Nice to have:
Relevant certification in aviation-specific emergency planning and/or bachelors degree in related field desirable
Familiarity with ICAO Annex 19 and IATA Emergency Response guidelines would be highly regarded
