Job Description:

As an Emergency Preparedness Officer at Hinkley Point C, you'll play an essential part in maintaining and improving emergency arrangements across the site. Reporting to the Emergency Preparedness Lead, you'll help ensure plans, processes, facilities, and exercises are robust, practical, and ready when needed, supporting EDF's journey towards An Electric Britain.

Job Responsibility:

  • Creating, reviewing, and maintaining emergency documentation, maps, and response plans
  • Supporting the planning, delivery, and documentation of emergency exercises
  • Conducting contractor LC11 inspections and working closely with contractor emergency leads
  • Maintaining emergency facilities, equipment, resources, and training records
  • Collating and managing emergency preparedness data, statistics, and reports

Requirements:

  • Experience creating, reviewing, and managing formal documentation, plans, and records
  • Experience conducting and documenting risk assessments
  • Experience organising and managing small projects or initiatives
  • Strong ICT skills, including confident use of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience working in construction, health and safety, or similarly regulated environments
  • The ability to manage priorities and workload effectively with minimal supervision
