Job Description:

Emergency Medicine opening in Arkansas starting the end of May and is ongoing with a need for both days and nights, working with SCP health. 125 hospital beds, 13 ED beds, 24,500 annual ED volume, Level III Trauma Center, EMR system: T-System.

Requirements:

  • AR License
  • BC
  • DEA
  • CSR
  • Residency Certificate
  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • ATLS
  • BLS
  • TB test
  • Flu shot
  • Hep B
  • If not board certified: Must show 2,500 hours in an ED over the past 5 years, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, BLS
  • 2 Trauma CMEs every 3 years
  • 2 years of case logs
  • 2 years of CME documentation
  • Current malpractice insurance
  • Past 2 years of CME documentation
  • Past 5 years of malpractice history

Nice to have:

ER experience preferred

  • Perform medical evaluations and formulate a differential diagnosis and treatment plan for urgent and emergent care within the scope of emergency medicine, as requested
  • Perform medical procedures that include obtaining IV access (including administration of fluids and medications), splinting, suturing, phlebotomy, performing POC testing, and performing EKGs
  • Formulate a differential diagnosis and treatment plan to occur in the patient’s home or other setting outside of a medical clinic setting for urgent and emergent care within the scope of emergency medicine
  • Triage incoming patients needs, access to their concerns and determine the right course of action, in center, virtual or at home care
  • Perform video Telemedicine consults when appropriate
  • Work closely with a team of Physicians, nurses, and technicians to discuss your assessment
  • Assess and treat Covid-related cases which includes obtaining clinical samples to test for the virus, performing point of care testing , obtaining blood for antibody blood tests, providing general symptom management and recommendations
  • Document clinical evaluation and treatment in the electronic health record, AthenaHealth
  • Work closely with the Medical Director and other clinical team members to ensure all policies are adhered to and that you deliver quality care in an innovative setting
  • Coordinate additional care with our After Care, and house calls teams or with one of our Medical Partners
