We are currently seeking Emergency Medicine Registrars to join healthcare services across Australia. These roles offer excellent exposure to a broad range of acute presentations in busy Emergency Departments, supporting career progression in Emergency Medicine within a well-supported, structured clinical environment. This is an ideal opportunity for doctors trained in the UK or Ireland looking to transition into the Australian healthcare system and further develop their acute care expertise.
Job Responsibility
Assess and manage patients presenting to the Emergency Department across a wide range of acute conditions
Perform clinical assessments, initiate investigations, and develop management plans
Manage critically ill and high-acuity patients with appropriate senior support
Perform emergency procedures in line with the level of experience
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including consultants, nurses, and allied health professionals
Participate in clinical handovers, documentation, and patient flow management
Contribute to teaching and supervision of junior medical staff where appropriate
Requirements
MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA)
Eligible via Competent Authority Pathway (UK/Ireland)
Experience working at the Registrar level in Emergency Medicine
Strong acute care and resuscitation skills
Experience within the NHS or equivalent healthcare system
Minimum 1 year of NHS experience
Strong clinical decision-making in acute settings
Ability to work under pressure in high-volume environments
