Under the direction of the Senior Project Manager, the Project Manager I (PM I) is responsible for managing and implementing approximately $65 million of Emergency Firefighting Water System (EFWS) improvement and Power projects for the San Francisco Public Utilities (SFPUC). In addition, the PM I will have a support role to assist the Senior Project Manager with other important EFWS and Power projects that total over $200M.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and implement approximately $65 million of Emergency Firefighting Water System (EFWS) improvement and Power projects
Assist the Senior Project Manager with other EFWS and Power projects that total over $200M
Manage project budget, schedule, and scope
Define the project needs, assess the conditions of all existing pertinent facilities, and identify feasible alternatives
Evaluate various alternatives for meeting the project objectives
Prepare a Conceptual Engineering Report
Conduct required environmental studies
Develop 100% construction documents (plans and specifications)
Support SFPUC Contracts for bidding, the SFPUC award process, and contracting
Support construction management to facilitate project construction
Support the operational start-up of any newly constructed facilities and finalize project finances during close-out
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in architecture, engineering or planning plus four years of responsible architectural, engineering or construction management experience
A Bachelor's Degree in another field plus six years of responsible experience in a field directly related to the project
Eight years of architectural, engineering, or construction management experience in a field directly related to the project
California registration as professional engineer or architect
