Job Description

Emergency Department Tech position for night shift (7:00 pm to 7:30 am) including rotating weekends and holidays. Major responsibilities include direct patient care, maintaining supplies and equipment, customer service, quality initiatives, and interdepartmental transport.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform patient care as directed by nursing or medical staff
  • Ensure an adequate supplies and equipment are available and for patient care throughout the shift including all patient care areas and clearn/dirty utility rooms
  • Assist nursing and medical staff to maintain high customer service performance in ED
  • Deliver high quality patient care in accordance with ED quality initiatives
  • Collaborate with peers to ensure adequate coverage in the ED throughout shift
  • Transport patients, supplies and equipment interdepartmentally when necessary

Requirements

  • 2-3 yrs. of hospital patient care or pre-hospital patient care experience or completion of 1 yr. of nursing school clinical rotations or Certified Nursing Assistant
  • Ability to use keyboard, see computer screen
  • Ability to move / lift patients and push carts, etc.
  • Current CPR certification
