Emergency Department RN

• Manages individualized, outcome oriented nursing care through the use of the nursing process
• Provides care, treatment and services through the successful coordination and completion of a series of processes that include assessment, planning care, providing care, in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Previous Acute Care RN experience preferred
• RN - Registered Nurse license
• Depending on department: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification, Emergency Response Training Certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC), Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) Certification may be required
• Commits to working a minimum of 48 hours per 4 week schedule, with at least 24 hours worked during a night and/or weekend
• Works 2 major holidays (1 summer and 1 winter)
• Obtains at least 5 contact hours per year in area of practice
• Practices within the legal boundaries of MA Nurse Practice Act
• Complies with applicable policies and procedures
• Safeguards the privacy and security of patient information
