Job Description

The EMEA Total Rewards Manager is responsible for the compensation and benefits programs across the region, and to ensure their design supports the attraction and retain of the talent necessary for Aptiv’s business strategy. This includes oversight of job architecture, job evaluation and promotion practices, health, wealth and well-being benefit strategy and execution.

Job Responsibility

  • Management of the base pay structure in region, alignment with key stakeholders, including Managers, Regional Leadership, HR and Finance
  • Lead the regional processes for job reviews and benchmarking
  • Design program compliance with the EU Pay directives and process and compliance post implementation
  • Apply subject matter expertise in compensation and benefits design and administration in region and partner with HR business partners to develop total rewards solutions in region
  • Management of external suppliers and partners, including Global Broker relationship
  • Change management for program and practice design updates
  • Oversee annual compensation planning process in region for base pay and variable compensation programs
  • Through thought leadership and market knowledge, participate in the design process for global total rewards programs
  • Build a culture of recognition within region through monetary and non-monetary programs and practices
  • Build and maintain internal and external relationships with labor and compensation partners
  • Foster strong cross-functional partnership with Aptiv HR Partners and recruiting teams
  • Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and help inform, influence, support, and execute our business decisions
  • Responsible for the management of benefits in the existing markets that Aptiv operates in and enhancing or changing our benefits offering
  • Design the benefits administration (Health and Welfare and Retirement plans) in conjunction with third-party administrators, vendors and internal employee service groups
  • Ensure technology enablement and repeatable solutions are in place to enable efficient total rewards processes
  • As a leader on the Global Total Rewards team, support the development and implementation of global policies and processes in areas like pension and benefits for new markets
  • Support local country HR in communicating our benefits offering to colleagues

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related area
  • Minimum of 10 years of job-related HR experience
  • Expertise in reward practices – specifically job architecture, pay range design, benchmarking, career structures, benefits design and vendor management etc.
  • Familiar with EMEA laws and regulations applicable to compensation and benefits practices, in particular the EU Pay directive
  • Exceptional analytical skills and super-user of excel as well as HR Technology
  • Proficient with MS Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and HRIS systems - Workday reporting experience is an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills to enable collaboration with all levels of the organization and the ability to synthesize technical material into easily understood language
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Ability to deal with sensitive information and situations with professionalism, tact and diplomacy
