We are looking for a highly talented and motivated Tax Manager to join our to support our EDS EMEA Tax Lead. This is a truly unique opportunity to work on global transactions, planning opportunities, and controversy issues throughout EMEA that drive significant value. Job Responsibility

  • Develop effective planning opportunities and controversy resolution strategies
  • Research complex (international) tax and transfer-pricing issues
  • Draft internal memos, analysis, and financial models
  • Translating data from a range of sources into insights and deliverables
  • Building effective long-term relationships with our business teams and external advisors
  • Communicating complex tax issues to our business teams, tax auditors, and courts

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience
  • Ideally 5-7 years’ experience in a professional advisory tax organization (Big 4 or law firm is a plus)
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: Tax Controversy matters, and / or International Tax, Transfer Pricing, Tax Accounting
  • Operating Model Efficiency, Value Chain Transformation, or similar global supply chain structuring teams a plus
  • A tax advisor or equivalent qualification is preferred but not essential
  • Familiarity with US GAAP, IFRS, and statutory accounting standards a plus
  • A degree in law, finance, business administration, economics, accounting or similar is preferred
  • Ability and interest in global travel and operating in a fast paced environment
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in Germany
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication or presentation skill highly valued
  • Familiarity and ability to use excel, ppt, and word required
  • SAP awareness positive

  • Lead and oversee global income and indirect tax compliance processes across all regions to ensure accurate, timely, and complete filing in accordance with local requirements
  • Supervise global tax service providers and internal teams to validate data accuracy, reconcile tax balances, and ensure adherence to corporate tax policies
