Our Global Security team protects Microsoft, its people, and assets in more than 190 countries. We are looking to hire a Regional Director for the EMEA region to join our Global Security team! In this role, you will be responsible for leading the Global Security EMEA team while also providing guidance and insights to Microsoft and leadership, analyzing data, and identifying strategic opportunities. This is a senior position in the Global Security organization and has responsibility in the Microsoft EMEA Region. This role will be pivotal in supporting the Chief Security Officer. The team consists of Physical Security services, Security Risk Management, Life Safety Risk Management, Security Risk Advisory, Campus and On-Site Security, Security Incident Response, Public-Private Partnership Management, Investigations, and Background Screening. In addition, you will partner with teams across the larger parent organization to influence and manage key strategic initiatives. The position is for someone who has a proven track record of executive leadership skills, strong team leadership, effective communication, innovative thinking, achieving results, a history of using technology to drive ideas, and strategic decision making.

Job Responsibility:

  • Serve as the head of security for the EMEA region
  • Responsible for creating, implementing, and leading key security operations, investigations, threat of violence, and background screening services for the Microsoft Corporation
  • Also, lead a team of Regional Security Managers for all physical security operations in EMEA
  • Cultivate excellent relationships with internal business partners such as Finance, HR, Legal, Compliance, and Risk along with regulatory agencies and local law enforcement to ensure the sharing of information, as well as their awareness, trust, and support
  • Act as a lead point-of-contact with law enforcement in security operations, investigations and threat management issues affecting the corporation
  • Direct and oversee physical security operations, background screening, investigations, documentation, case management, reporting, and resolutions
  • Lead and manage cross-functional Microsoft physical security operations and investigative personnel in the detection, investigation, and remediation of security incidents
  • Investigations may include workplace violence, background screening, proprietary information losses, company policy violations, and other criminal or conduct-related acts
  • Recruit, select, train and coach Global Security subject matter experts in the areas of operations and investigations, who consistently reinforce excellence in physical security operations based on Microsoft policies
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels and scheduling to manage labor costs while maintaining outstanding security investigation services
  • Plan and manage the annual budget and allocate resources
  • Manage security suppliers in operational support capacities to ensure mission objectives are being met, including quality of service, delivery, pricing, reporting, and customer satisfaction
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with executive teams and public and private sector partners as part of Global Security's overall strategic plan

Requirements:

  • BS/BA degree required
  • Or equivalent industry experience
  • Extensive work experience that includes executive level leadership in corporate security, and/or public safety with a track record of driving business outcomes
  • Demonstrable people and team leadership capacity with similar function and scope
  • ability to build self-directed teams, influence and drive change across functions and private-public partnerships
  • Must complete and pass a background check
  • Ability to travel as required
