Job Description

Are you an experienced embroiderer or screen printer? Are you looking for a straight day shift in the Waterloo area? We have a permanent opportunity for you to join a small, friendly, family-owned company in Waterloo that specializes in screen printing, embroidering, and designing logos on promotional items for distribution. Open to candidates who are either experienced in embroidery OR screen printing who can cross train in either department. In this position, you will be working with a Tajima embroidery machine. You will be responsible for applying embroidery designs to apparel and bags, ensuring precise location placement. During slower periods, you may also assist in other departments such as packaging, kitting, and picking. This is a permanent position on a straight day shift! This is a fast company so an exciting time to join the team!

Job Responsibility

  • Follow work order instructions accurately
  • Apply various embroidery designs to different types of apparel and bags
  • Ensure designs are embroidered in proper locations
  • Trim extra material to ensure a clean finish
  • Complete work orders in a timely manner
  • Stand for long periods during production
  • Assist in other warehouse departments if needed (e.g., packaging, kitting, picking)

Requirements

  • Experience with an embroidery machine
  • Attention to detail and ability to work while standing for long periods
  • Friendly and reliable demeanor
  • Ability to provide two work references
  • Steel-toed shoes required

Nice to have

  • Experience in screen printing
  • Cross training ability
