Job Description

The team creates complex, highly reliable real-time software that powers missile systems and their components, ensuring that they provide the performance and functionality users require when they need it. Involved all the way through development – from concept studies through trials firings and the move into production and service.

Job Responsibility

  • Verification and validation activities on real-time systems application software for the next generation of Missile Systems
  • Taking requirements, developing them into robust test cases, preparing and executing tests, capturing data, and delivering actionable feedback to project teams

Requirements

  • Strong experience of V&V activities in an embedded software environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Good communication skills
  • Good documentation skills
  • Ability to turn requirements into structured test cases and procedures
  • Experience of working in a lab environment on an electro mechanical product running embedded software
  • Good working knowledge of the complete software engineering lifecycle
  • Scripting abilities
  • Embedded software development experience using Ada and/or C/C++

Nice to have

  • Safety critical systems
  • Knowledge of standards such as DefStan 00-55, DO-178C & DO-330
  • Knowledge of Real Time Operating Systems
