Job Description:

Are you creative and innovative? Are you customer- and solution-oriented? Are you prepared to re-think software development? Are you looking for a new challenge? There is a possibility for an Embedded Software Engineer FCS & FMS (m/f/d) at Airbus Defence and Space in Manching. The successful applicant will join the department “Flight Control Software”. This team is developing safety critical software, covering manned and unmanned air vehicles in several programmes like Eurofighter and Eurodrone. The successful applicant will join the Eurofighter programme.

Job Responsibility:

  • Being part of an agile team, that designs, implements and tests safety critical real time software
  • Development of embedded applications for Flight Control Computer
  • Software reviews and documentation
  • Design and documentation of software architecture
  • Support the planning of software increments
  • Contribution to design definition and improvement
  • Analysis of stakeholder needs and/or upper-level requirements and specification of actionable requirements
  • Write requirements in compliance with quality criteria
  • Define requirements allocation to system elements
  • Manage requirement changes, including impact analysis
  • Verify requirements are correctly and completely implemented

Requirements:

  • University Degree in Computer Science or similar
  • 5 years of work experience or 3 years if you have a Master's degree
  • Passionate Software Developer and Teamplayer
  • Very good knowledge in C and Ada
  • Very good knowledge in Embedded Systems Software Development and/or low level Platform Software
  • Knowledge in Java and Python
  • Experience with programming standards (e.g. data flow diagrams)
  • Experience with safety critical Standards (ED-12C/DO-178C, ED-218/DO-331, ED-80/DO-254)
  • Fluent in English and German
