Verkada is actively seeking an exceptional individual to join us as the leader of our embedded Alarms team. Your team’s role will be to build, extend, and improve all of Verkada Alarms’ embedded devices and services. It’s your team’s attention to detail and craft that will continue to grow Verkada Alarms business, empowering it to become the leader in the alarms industry.

Job Responsibility

  • Build and lead the team through effective recruitment, mentoring, and leadership
  • Build amazing, delightful products that win the market
  • Work with Product Managers to chart roadmaps
  • Plan and drive project execution
  • Drive product quality, reliability, and user experience
  • Work cross-functionally with other product teams to enhance our products and extend the power of the Verkada platform

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in managing, leading, and inspiring a team of engineers, including hiring, retaining, and managing performance
  • 5+ years of work experience in an embedded engineering role, with proven technical leadership skills and expertise in designing scalable, reliable, and efficient solutions
  • Experience with C/C++ and embedded device development
  • Proficient in agile team software development and strong project management, delivering complex projects within defined timelines and resource constraints
  • Adept at collaborating cross-functionally, communicating effectively, and aligning efforts to achieve common goals
  • Passionate about technology, staying updated with the latest industry trends and advancements
  • Eye for design, product details, and polish
