The Email Marketing Specialist is responsible for the development, execution, and optimization of email marketing campaigns that drive engagement, customer retention, and revenue growth. This role manages the full lifecycle of email marketing—from building and deploying campaigns to analyzing performance and recommending improvements. The specialist will create targeted customer journeys, nurture campaigns, and automated workflows designed to deliver personalized and relevant communications across the customer lifecycle.
Job Responsibility:
Build, schedule, and deploy email marketing campaigns using the organization’s email marketing platform
Develop and format email templates that align with brand standards and best practices for deliverability, accessibility, and mobile optimization
Coordinate campaign schedules and ensure timely delivery of newsletters, promotional emails, announcements, and lifecycle communications
Manage email lists, segmentation, and audience targeting to ensure the right message reaches the right audience
Design and implement automated email workflows including welcome series, onboarding sequences, nurture campaigns, re-engagement programs, and lifecycle messaging
Map and optimize customer journeys to increase engagement and conversion at key stages of the customer lifecycle
Collaborate with marketing, sales, and customer service teams to align messaging with broader campaigns and initiatives
Monitor and analyze key email marketing metrics including open rates, click-through rates, conversions, unsubscribe rates, and deliverability
Develop regular performance reports that summarize campaign results, trends, and insights
Conduct A/B testing on subject lines, content, send times, and calls-to-action to improve performance
Use campaign data and insights to recommend strategies for improving email engagement and overall campaign performance
Identify opportunities for segmentation, personalization, and automation to enhance customer experience
Stay current on industry trends, compliance requirements, and email marketing best practices
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field preferred
2–5 years of experience in email marketing, marketing automation, or digital marketing
Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., SendGrid, Go High Level, CustomerIO, Mailchimp, Marketo, or similar)
Strong understanding of email deliverability, list management, segmentation, and compliance (CAN-SPAM, GDPR best practices)
Proficiency in analytics and reporting tools with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for email formatting preferred
Strong attention to detail, organization, and project management skills
Ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously
