Job Description

Liberty Elevator Corporation is seeking a professional, detail-oriented, and highly organized Elevator Project Estimator to join our growing team. This role is responsible for managing a high volume of incoming SOWs (Scopes of Work) for elevator modernization and new construction projects. The Estimator plays a critical role in preparing accurate, timely, and competitive proposals while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction throughout the bid process. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands construction documentation, and can balance technical analysis with clear client communication.

Job Responsibility

  • Analyze requirement documents, blueprints, specifications, and project plans to fully understand project scope
  • Identify deficiencies in drawings and request clarifications as needed
  • Visit construction sites when necessary to gather project information
  • Determine time, labor, materials, and equipment costs
  • Prepare detailed material and labor estimates
  • Compile and record actual project costs for tracking and review
  • Obtain and evaluate multiple vendor quotes for each opportunity
  • Vet and select vendors/subcontractors appropriate for scope and budget
  • Manage bid packages and vendor submissions
  • Use bid data to prepare detailed cost analyses
  • Attend pre-bid meetings as required
  • Work closely with Project Managers during the bid and transition process
  • Present prepared estimates to management and stakeholders
  • Communicate project requirements and pricing clearly to clients
  • Maintain positive relationships with vendors, contractors, and internal teams
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Support company objectives and team success as assigned

Requirements

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Civil Engineering background is a plus
  • Experience using CRM and customer relationship management tools preferred
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and deliver accurate proposals
