Job Description

This is an opportunity to build and power the financial engine behind a mission-driven growth company. The Elevated Bookkeeper will serve as the financial backbone of the organization and a strategic partner to executive leadership. This role blends hands-on accounting execution with forward-looking financial insight, supporting multi-entity operations, construction-style accounting, and investor-backed growth initiatives.

Job Responsibility

  • Partner with leadership to drive financial clarity and disciplined growth
  • Develop KPI dashboards aligned with revenue expansion and margin targets
  • Support strategic planning and capital allocation decisions
  • Oversee GL, AR, AP, payroll, and multi-entity consolidations
  • Design and strengthen internal control systems
  • Lead month-end and year-end close
  • Prepare accurate financial statements and management reporting
  • Manage WIP schedules and percentage-of-completion revenue recognition
  • Oversee job costing, margin tracking, and project profitability
  • Ensure accurate billing cycles and cost allocations
  • Manage weekly cash position and liquidity planning
  • Develop rolling cash flow forecasts
  • Partner with external CPA advisors on tax and compliance matters

Requirements

  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong expertise in AP, billing, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Experience leading month-end close
  • Percentage-of-completion accounting strongly preferred
  • Background in construction, landscaping, asset-based, or related industries preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • QuickBooks required
  • Ability to build systems, improve processes, and manage multiple entities
  • Executive presence and strong communication skills
