This is an APSAA opportunity. Elementary STEM Instructional Supervisor. Job Responsibility

  • Works with building administrators and teachers to develop the philosophy and goals of the STEM curriculum
  • Coordinates and evaluates the curriculum and instructional program and makes appropriate changes when necessary
  • Participates in planning, distributing, and monitoring the STEM program budget
  • Works with outside educational authorities and regulatory bodies on content-related initiatives
  • Formulates and implements professional development activities which address curriculum needs
  • Develops materials to enhance the instructional program
  • Works directly with classroom teachers to enrich instruction
  • Researches a variety of textbooks and materials and makes recommendations for purchase
  • Oversees state testing
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: The Instructional Supervisor supervises content-area faculty members and carries out these responsibilities in accordance with the district's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees

  • Valid NYS Administrative Certification (SDA/SDL)

This work includes but is not limited to: curriculum writing, text book/resource review and selection, NGMS alignment, distribution of math manipulatives, as well as any other ACSD curriculum protocols and initiatives
