Job Description:

The Assistant Principal at Chestnut Hill Academy is responsible for fostering an environment that allows children, their families, and the staff to develop to their full potential. The Assistant Principal is accountable for school operation that exceeds local state and district criteria and incorporates Bright Horizons Family Solutions’ mission, organizational goals, values, philosophies and policies, and development of positive relationships with parents, children, families, and Client.

Job Responsibility:

  • Foster an environment that allows children, their families, and the staff to develop to their full potential
  • Be accountable for school operation that exceeds local state and district criteria and incorporates Bright Horizons Family Solutions’ mission, organizational goals, values, philosophies and policies
  • Develop positive relationships with parents, children, families, and Client
  • Delegate responsibilities as is appropriate
  • Review important decisions with the Principal, Head of Schools and be responsive to the requirements of the Corporate Office
  • Model exemplary employee behavior
  • Assume Principal responsibilities in their absence
  • Provide leadership, training and guidance to ensure the teaching team provides a safe and nurturing environment for children that encourages their social, emotional, physical and intellectual development

Requirements:

  • Must Have A Valid WA State Teaching Certificate
  • Must Have A Valid WA State Administrators Certificate
  • BA/MA In Elementary Education, Education Leadership
  • Demonstrated Knowledge And 5 Years Of Experience In An Elementary School Setting
