Job Description
ChristianaCare is seeking a BC/BE Electrophysiologist to join our Center for Heart & Vascular Health. Join our team at The Center for Heart & Vascular Health at ChristianaCare, consisting of 26 cardiologists, 7 cardiac hospitalists, 3 cardiac intensivists and 21 advanced practice clinicians, in providing the highest-level care and treatments for cardiovascular diseases. Join a robust Electrophysiology team consisting of 5 physicians and 3 Advanced Practice Clinicians. State-of-the-Art Facility and Equipment- The Gerret and Tatiana Copeland Arrhythmia Center at the Center for Heart & Vascular Health is a fully capable electrophysiology suite with 3 operating labs. We perform all manner of EP procedures including complex afib and VT ablations. We provide comprehensive device management including leadless pacemakers and non-vascular defibrillator systems. The Center for Heart and Vascular Health at Christiana Hospital saw 2,300 EP procedures with 14% growth in 2025. The Center performs over 4,000 cardiac catheterizations, 1,400 PCIs, and 880 cardiac surgical procedures annually. The Center also provides advanced heart failure services including placement and management of left-ventricular assist devices.
Job Responsibility
Works in partnership with Physician and Administrative leadership to develop and execute strategies to improve care delivery and patient outcomes within the Electrophysiology Lab
Responsible for jointly managing staff in the Electrophysiology Lab to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards while meeting and/or exceeding service-level expectations
Develop and maintain rotation schedule for Electrophysiology coverage and interpretations
Participate in the development, evaluation and introduction of new equipment and research
Develop and support budgetary requests for new equipment and personnel through the appropriate committees
ensure that ChristianaCare Health System is on the cutting edge in all areas in which Electrophysiology would be utilized by CCHS physicians
Act as a peer reviewer where appropriate or required for regulatory and/or quality and safety reporting
Provide continuing education in the use of Electrophysiology testing for physicians, residents, technicians, registered nurses, patients, and the community
Requirements
BC/BE in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology
Leadership experience desirable
excellent interpersonal skills a must
Ability to be licensed in the State of Delaware and meet credentialing requirements
