Job Description:

We are seeking an Electronics Technician 2 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business Unit. As part of (SES) Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, it systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets.

Job Responsibility:

  • Executes various technical tasks and responsibilities within field operations
  • Performs on-site installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of equipment and systems
  • Ensures the functionality and reliability of various technologies
  • Conducts site surveys, configuring hardware and software, testing systems for proper operation, and providing technical support to customers
  • Utilizes and comprehends project Safety plan (JHA, AHA, PFW)
  • Analyzes and interprets complete M.C. Dean drawing packages
  • Verifies correct charges in timesheets
  • Tracks and inventories tools
  • Participates in 10-minute daily ORM meetings
  • Participates in PITCO plan creation and build out
  • Installs system raceway, cabling, equipment racks, enclosures, panels, and all mounting hardware components
  • Terminates, tests, and configures electronic devices, network and IT equipment
  • Racks and stacks head end equipment
  • Communicates consistently with MC Dean Project Teams
  • Acts as a collaborative teammate
  • Plans and prioritizes tasks effectively
  • Survey and document existing field conditions

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license
  • HS diploma or GED required
  • 4+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities on multiple systems and with multiple customer programs
  • Strong oral, written and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated time management and organization skills
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Nice to have:

  • Vendor certifications in multiple IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems (CCURE, Lenel, Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch Radionics, Bosch CCTV, Bosch BVMS, AIphone Intercom Systems Airphone, FFT, DIVAR, Windows operating systems)
  • Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program
  • Graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program
  • 3 years of experience focused in electronic security systems
  • Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint Skills
