Job Description

As an Electronics Manufacturing Test Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency and quality of our electronic manufacturing processes. Leveraging your expertise in electronics engineering and product development, you will lead the design and implementation of robust test solutions for electronic circuit board production while adhering to Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) principles, Lean methodologies, and ISO 9001:2015 standards.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and procedures for electronic assemblies, with a focus on DFMA principles to optimize manufacturing processes and enhance product quality
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance teams to seamlessly integrate test solutions into the production environment, ensuring alignment with ISO 9001:2015 standards
  • Utilize Lean methodologies to identify and eliminate waste, reduce cycle times, and improve overall manufacturing efficiency
  • Design, optimize, and maintain test fixtures, equipment, and automation systems to facilitate accurate and efficient testing of Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs) and electronic systems
  • Conduct detailed analysis of test data and failure modes, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in test technologies, recommending innovative solutions to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency
  • Review circuit board designs for testability requirements
  • Support manufacturing with failure analysis, tester debugging, reduction of intermittent failures and downtime of test equipment

Requirements

  • BS or MS degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, organizational and follow-up skills
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Solid knowledge in electronics, mechanics and software development
  • Analytical thinking and application of problem solving strategies
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • 3+ years of experience in electronic product development & volume manufacturing
  • 3+ years of experience as a Test Engineer
  • 3+ Years experience in C# code development
  • In-depth understanding of SMT board level testing or system-in-package testing
  • Proficiency in ISO 9001:2015 standards and maintaining certification
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with domestic and/or international consumer electronics vendors and supply chain management
  • Knowledge of Lean methodologies and their application in manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with test automation and frameworks to enable comprehensive test coverage

Nice to have

  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma or equivalent process improvement methodologies
  • Experience managing international quality system rules and regulations, including planning and implementation
  • Proven track record of successfully managing detailed test coverages and improving test efficiency in engineering and production phases
