The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing inventory accuracy, material flow, and control processes supporting PCBA, electronic assembly, test, and system integration operations to ensure optimal stock levels and operational efficiency. This role supervises inventory staff, implements inventory control procedures, and collaborates with operations, purchasing, and finance to minimize inventory discrepancies, reduce costs, and support business objectives.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee daily inventory control activities including receiving, storage, issuing, and cycle counting
Ensure accurate inventory levels through regular audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation
Investigate and resolve inventory variances, discrepancies, and root causes
Maintain inventory records in ERP/WMS systems with a high level of accuracy
Supervise, train, and develop inventory control staff
Assign daily tasks and monitor workload, productivity, and performance
Enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Develop and implement inventory control policies and best practices
Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, material flow, and warehouse efficiency
Partner with cross-functional teams to optimize stock levels and reduce obsolescence
Support lean, continuous improvement, or cycle count programs
Prepare inventory reports including accuracy metrics, shrinkage, slow-moving items, and adjustments
Monitor KPIs and provide recommendations to leadership
Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and company policies
Coordinate with purchasing, operations, and finance to support production and fulfillment
Assist with physical inventory and external audits when required
Requirements:
High school diploma or GE
3+ years of inventory control experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
3+ years of supervisory or lead experience preferred
Experience in an electronics manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of inventory control principles and best practices
Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and production reporting
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and change management skills
Inventory process optimization
Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
Strong Microsoft Office skills in Word, Excel, SharePoint, etc.
Manage ESD-sensitive components and ensure proper storage, handling, and labeling
Maintain strict control of serialized, lot-controlled, date-code, and customer-owned material
Nice to have:
1+ years in an electronics manufacturing environment
Knowledge of AS9100 or ISO 9001
Experience reading a BOM or mechanical engineering drawings
