Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related technical field
10 + years of experience in business development, capture management, or program management within the defense or aerospace sectors, with emphasis on Electronic Warfare, SIGINT, or RF systems
Proven success in securing and executing DoD programs valued at $1M – $20M +
Strong understanding of DoD acquisition processes, contract vehicles (IDIQ, OTA, BPA), and FAR/DFARS compliance
Technical familiarity with RF systems, spectrum operations, and EW mission areas (ES, EA, EP)
Existing relationships within DoD EW programs and with major defense primes (e.g., L3Harris, Northrop Grumman, BAE Systems, Raytheon)
Security Clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 12 months of hire
Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts
All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check

Job Responsibility

Develop and execute a comprehensive Electronic Warfare business strategy addressing near-term and emerging opportunities across DoD and Allied customers
Define market segments, growth drivers, procurement pathways, and competitive positioning within the broader EW ecosystem
Partner with Product Management and Engineering to align customer needs with Silvus’ evolving portfolio of RF and networking technologies
Maintain awareness of CEMA, JADC2, and related modernization initiatives to anticipate demand and guide long-term planning
Establish and expand relationships with Program Offices, PEOs, and Prime Contractors active in the EW and spectrum-operations community
Lead opportunity identification, qualification, and capture planning in collaboration with internal technical and program teams
Represent Silvus at industry events, trade shows, and government forums to strengthen visibility within the EW community
Identify and pursue strategic alliances with OEMs, system integrators, and channel partners to accelerate market entry and solution adoption
Evaluate and recommend business models and teaming strategies that maximize reach, speed to market, and return on investment
Support cross-functional coordination to ensure seamless execution from opportunity pursuit through contract award

Ability to obtain a security clearance, for which U.S. citizenship is required by U.S. Government
BS in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical discipline
Demonstrated team leadership and mentoring
8+ years’ experience working with hardware system design
Expertise with RF components and subsystems, including T/R modules, rotary joints, pedestal, filters, radiating structures, isolators, amplifiers, ADC/DAC, etc.

Job Responsibility

Collaborate with the team to quantify goals, system performance objectives, performance metrics, dependencies, and risks to guide program execution
Lead and work with multi-disciplinary teams to architect, implement, and test RF hardware systems enabling novel sensing, electronic warfare, and signal processing systems
Perform trade studies and analyses of proposed hardware architectures. Systems predominantly field deployable prototypes with the objective of transitioning to low-volume product systems
Design, calibrate, and implement and perform bench-top unit tests. Document results including correlation with objective system performance
Work with signal processing team on innovative sensing system test concepts and execution methods. Develop supporting system analytical test tools/measures
Design, document, and implement over-the-air system demonstrations, identifying hardware readiness, test architecture, performance metrics, data management, operational procedures, and performance reports
Review system effectiveness and identify opportunities to advance and/or mature subsystems and system capabilities

System Architecture & Design: Lead the architectural definition of networked EW systems, decomposing high-level mission requirements into detailed hardware, software, and firmware specifications
Requirements Management: Utilize modern requirements management tools to capture, trace, and maintain system requirements throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring full coverage from customer needs to validation testing
Technical Documentation: Author and maintain critical engineering artifacts, including System Design Descriptions (SDD), Interface Control Documents (ICDs), ConOps, and Test Plans
MBSE Implementation: Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies to model system behaviors, states, and data flows, ensuring coherency across distributed network nodes
Integration & Test Leadership: Define and oversee system integration strategies
lead hands-on integration events involving RF hardware, embedded software, and network emulators in both lab and field environments
