The role: Electronic Flight Bag Administrator. Based within Flight Operations at our Waterside head office, being a member of the EFB team provides a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of delivering cutting edge technology, used on a daily basis by our Flight Crew. As an EFB administrator you’ll have responsibility for the day to day management of a diverse range of EFB systems across the British Airways fleet. You will have the opportunity to influence the future direction of EFB development as well as ensuring that current solutions remain compliant with the applicable regulations. As the primary point of contact for EFB issues you will play a key role in ensuring our flight crew are equipped with the right tools to enable a safe and efficient operation.
Job Responsibility
Day to day management of a diverse range of EFB systems across the British Airways fleet
Influencing the future direction of EFB development
Ensuring that current solutions remain compliant with the applicable regulations
Acting as the primary point of contact for EFB issues
Ensuring our flight crew are equipped with the right tools to enable a safe and efficient operation
Responsible for the safe, secure and efficient operation of portable and installed EFB's across the British Airways fleet
Ensuring effective day‑to‑day management, ongoing improvement and development
Production of accurate, detailed documentation and a high level of attention to detail to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements
Working closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including IT, Engineering, the CAA, and system vendors
Maintaining direct engagement with flight crew
Requirements
Creativity, curiosity, and an expanding breadth of knowledge regarding aviation and Flight Operations
Experience of working in an operational environment
Awareness of the significance of the role in a safety-critical and operational context
Proficient in use of Microsoft Excel for reporting and data manipulation
Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Word
Experienced in the use of Adobe Acrobat and PDF manipulation
Familiar with Mobile Device Management software (Jamf preferred)
Strong IT skills including knowledge of Windows and iOS/iPadOS
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications including Power Platform
Educated to degree level or equivalent or have significant relevant airline operational experience
Thorough knowledge of relevant regulations, particularly UK Air Ops
Has knowledge and experience of administrating an EFB solution
Must be eligible to hold a UK airside pass
Must be eligible to hold a UK airside driving permit
Nice to have
Jamf 100 or above certification
