Full-time Electronic Equipment Trades Worker position available with competitive salary. Work in a dynamic team in Banksmeadow NSW, 2019. On behalf of our client, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Electronic Equipment Trades Worker with a specialisation in security and video surveillance systems to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of sophisticated electronic security systems in our container units and across our company premises.

Job Responsibility:

  • Install, configure, test, and commission a wide range of electronic security equipment, including CCTV cameras, digital video recorders (DVRs), network video recorders (NVRs), access control systems, and intruder alarm systems
  • Conduct comprehensive site assessments to determine security requirements and design effective surveillance and security solutions for customised container projects
  • Perform routine maintenance, preventative checks, and system upgrades on existing security installations to ensure optimal performance and reliability
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical faults in electronic security systems, including wiring, hardware, and software issues
  • Carry out repairs and replace defective components of security and surveillance equipment in a timely and efficient manner
  • Maintain accurate records of all installation, maintenance, and repair work, including system configurations, technical drawings, and service reports
  • Provide technical support and training to clients and internal staff on the operation of installed security systems
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with relevant Australian Standards, industry best practices, and workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and advancements in the electronic security industry

Requirements:

  • Proven expertise in the installation and maintenance of major security system brands (e.g., Hikvision, Dahua, Bosch, Tecom, Inner Range)
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with the ability to work methodically and with high attention to detail
  • Excellent understanding of IP networking principles as they relate to modern security systems
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Minimum Certificate level or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Minimum one year of work experience on relevant position
