Job Responsibility

  • Design and develop new electronic products, assemblies, and components from concept through to production
  • Produce schematics, PCB layouts, multilayer PCB designs, detailed assembly drawings, and bills of materials in accordance with IPC and ISO9001 standards
  • Carry out engineering calculations and analysis to ensure designs meet functional, performance, and cost requirements
  • Ensure designs meet EMC and electrical safety requirements
  • Collaborate with the software and firmware teams, contributing to lower-level firmware development where required
  • Work with suppliers and manufacturing partners, providing technical documentation and test specifications
  • Estimate project timelines accurately and manage workflow, milestones, and progress reporting

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or related discipline
  • 5+ years’ experience working as an Electrical / Electronic Design Engineer or Senior Electrical / Electronic Design Engineer
  • Strong experience using Altium Designer or a comparable PCB design package
  • Familiarity with engineering tools and applications such as Git and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong analytical and electronic design skills
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes relevant to electronics production
  • Ability to build effective working relationships across multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
