This apprenticeship follows the embedded electronic systems design and development engineer (degree) standard. Your first year will be all about learning by doing. You’ll split your time between hands-on project work and part-time college study, building a strong foundation in electronic theory and practical skills.
Job Responsibility:
Design and construct real circuits
Explore how components work together
Learn how to document and report your findings
Leads to roles designing and developing electronic circuits, devices and systems
Requirements:
A level in Maths and another STEM (Physics, ICT, Computing, Electronics) based subject or equivalent BTEC level 3 /HNC/HND/T level in relevant discipline
5 GCSE’s at grade 4/C or above including Maths and English
Applicants must be aged 18 or over, as of 31st August 2026, due to security clearance requirements
You’ll need to be a British Citizen for security clearance
