Job Responsibility

Prepare designs and specifications for various complex equipment or systems
Plan approach to solve design problems
Conceive and recommends new design techniques
Resolve design problems with contract personnel and assures compatibility of design with other parts of the system
Design and coordinate test set-ups and experiments to prove or disprove the feasibility of preliminary design
Use untried and untested measurement techniques

Advise equipment users on redesign to solve unique operational deficiencies

Lead initiatives to reduce downtime through engineering improvements

Maintain a comprehensive register of control systems, highlighting critical spares and obsolescence
Perform regular backups of PLC and HMI programs with secure version control
