Job Description

This role is accountable for: Responsible for configuring and maintaining PepsiCo customer Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) profiles. Conduct data analysis to identify trends and drive process improvements. Partner with customers, IT, national account teams, and field sales to optimize systems and processes, resolve recurring issues, and promote best practices. Provide project support and contribute to cross-functional initiatives as needed.

  • Partner with customers, IT, national account teams, and field sales to optimize systems and processes, resolve recurring issues, and promote best practices
  • Provide project support and contribute to cross-functional initiatives as needed
  • Coordinate EDI onboarding and billing requirements with customers and internal teams
  • Analyze and advise PepsiCo customers and Sales/Finance on EDI specifications and billing requirements
  • Communicate regularly with peers, managers, third parties, and stakeholders to establish new EDI billing processes (standard and custom)
  • Escalate obstacles and recommend alternative solutions
  • Partner with PepsiCo IT to design customer-specific solutions and ensure timely implementation and testing
  • Provide consultation, make decisions, and execute actions throughout the project lifecycle
  • Remediate EDI exceptions and identify root causes across trading partners
  • Monitor EDI billing to ensure compliance with transmission protocols and timely payment
  • Address billing changes due to customer requirements or platform updates
  • Investigate root causes of EDI exceptions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve EDI billing issues
  • retransmit corrected files for processing
  • Edit or remove invoice line items causing rejections
  • Manage large-scale invoice corrections to ensure successful customer uploads
  • Maintain system functionality, controls, and reconciliation with legacy systems
  • Participate in UAT and system testing for patches and upgrades on vendor-hosted platforms
  • Provide senior managers with EDI performance metrics
  • Ensure CFRs have visibility into EDI issues for strategic accounts
  • Maintain centralized storage of all EDI reporting for team access

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex information
  • Intermediate Excel proficiency and strong analytical capabilities
  • Proactive in resolving issues, with a focus on continuous improvement
  • High sense of urgency and a strong drive to deliver results
  • Strategic thinker with proven problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Solid basic accounting knowledge and experience (invoices, debit and credit, pricing, etc.)
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP tool
  • Experience leading and supporting initiatives

Serve as a subject matter expert for one type of equipment and oversee everyday tasks and troubleshooting within their area of expertise. Have a hands-on understanding of how equipment works within disciplines they have been trained and how to troubleshoot equipment, systems, subsystems, and components independently within their trained discipline(s). Provide and/or assign team to provide necessary escort to third-party contractors, sub contractors, vendors, and service providers on site for all severity leveled procedures. Coordinate and schedule supplier/vendor on-site activities and recognizes circumstances when to stop supplier work to address potential and/or identified concerns.
