We’re hiring for an Electro-Mechanical Inspector Level 2 position in New Mexico and surrounding. This is an opportunity in which you will be supporting the first shift. Job Responsibility:
Incoming inspection from external providers of products or services/processing (e.g., nickel plating)
In-process and/or final inspection of critical features, including witness inspection (e.g., CMM program run)
Compilation of final inspection sign-off sheet or inspection package
Verification that the inspection equipment used to take measurements is capable of detecting defects
Verification that the inspection methodology is adequate per drawing intent
Review and validation of justification for any part not inspected at final inspection
Audit and validation of execution of the inspection plan, if applicable
Assure products are free of gaps, mismatches, fairing, and of acceptable contour and waviness
Assured products are of good workmanship and within specified workmanship standards (e.g., oil canning, riding conditions, loose fasteners, drill starts, scratches, dings, burrs, fastener edge distance, etc.)
Verifying all visible part finishes, paint, and skin quality are acceptable to the required visual standards
Verify hardware cleanliness and absence of internal or external foreign object debris
Verify safety wire has been applied in a negative pull orientation, the correct number of turns, and pigtails are tucked in according to specification requirements
Verify fasteners are properly installed
assure the torque stripe is continuous from the head to the surface and of the correct color
Requirements:
3+ years of hands-on experience with electro-mechanical parts inspection
Strong ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and industry/commodity standards
Proficient in GD&T and validating dimensions (tolerances ≥.005”) using hand tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, height gauges)
Ability to adapt to new technology and software
Excellent visual acuity to detect defects in complex products
Must be willing to undergo a background check
Must be ITAR compliant
What we offer:
50% hourly rate for any travel time ("p2p")
Mileage reimbursement at the US gov't rate ($0.70 per mile driven). Untaxed
