Job Description

As part of the talented Navico Group - Power Solutions team, you will support a wide portfolio of marine and RV electrical products. You will resolve product issues, work on product improvements, and support new product development.

Job Responsibility

  • Focus on the continuous improvement of a broad range of mechanical and electrical products and systems
  • Create test fixtures for mechanical and electrical testing
  • Perform root cause analysis of product failures, propose corrective actions, and document findings
  • Collaborate with others across global teams encompassing engineering, marketing, sourcing, production, quality, and technical service
  • Review product improvement proposals, develop test plans, and perform testing to ensure that the proposed changes are sound in design and thoroughly tested before being implemented
  • Support both new product development and sustaining engineering activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree – Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years related experience
  • Must be able to read and interpret wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
  • Strong hands-on skills in a test lab environment
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have

  • Experience with marine electrical products
  • Experience working with a global cross functional team
  • Able to troubleshoot electrical systems and products to the PCBA board level
  • Familiar with the safe use of standard electrical test equipment such as: Digital multimeters and current probes
  • Benchtop power supplies
