The Electro-Mechanical Avionics Technician is responsible for carrying out production or maintenance tasks on a range of equipment, ensuring all work complies with approved technical data and quality manual standards.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct standard testing procedures on various equipment and validate the results
Perform repairs on aviation units in compliance with FAA regulations and in accordance with the Component Maintenance Manual (CMM) requirements
Disassemble, clean, and visually inspect parts to identify issues or wear
Reassemble parts, ensuring all measurements meet specified tolerances and requirements
Accurately track and document all activities, maintaining proper control of parts
Help maintain shop compliance with regulatory and quality standards
Contribute to process improvements aimed at reducing cycle time
Ensure strict adherence to quality standards, with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction
Apply maintenance manuals to evaluate and determine the acceptability of components
Regularly update work order information in the ERP system
Follow established procedures, making adjustments as necessary and promptly notifying supervisors
recommend expenditures as needed
Safeguard confidential and sensitive information to protect SEDA's reputation and competitive position
Comply with all safety, health, and environmental regulations, actively supporting Safran HSE policies and remaining vigilant for potential hazards when adopting new skills or equipment

Understand and apply basic electronics principles including testing diodes, capacitors, relays, and interpreting unit schematics
Perform mechanical tasks such as tightening or loosening bolts and nuts to specified torque directions and values
Rotate and inspect each gear in a gear train to ensure proper function
Identify bolt and nut sizes accurately for replacement or maintenance
Use safety-wire techniques to secure critical fasteners
Detect and assess corrosion levels on mechanical components
Determine when mechanical parts require replacement based on inspection and condition
Utilize hand tools proficiently for mechanical and electronic maintenance tasks
Follow safety protocols strictly to maintain a safe working environment
Work efficiently and accurately under supervision, maintaining strong attention to detail
Read and interpret technical manuals and specifications precisely
Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three (3) years of related experience and/or training
or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Basic level of Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel
Knowledge of 5S, Lean and Kaizen methods is a plus
Knowledge of production and repair tools and benches, instrumentation and measuring skills
Knowledge of FAA regulations and understanding of quality requirements
Compliance with safety rules (PPE – Personal Prevention Equipment)
Compliance with procedures and standards – knowledge of CMM requirements
