Job Description:

Amentum is seeking a dynamic and innovative Electromagnetic Warfare Planner to provide research, analysis, and planning support to the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) Operations Directorate as part of a Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations Cell supporting U.S. Pacific Fleet (PACFLT) at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide assistance to senior-level strategic planning and briefings, including preparing formal papers and background information for USINDOPACOM and PACFLT senior leader consumption
  • Provide research and analysis of various EW related national security policies, military strategies, and capability integration that support USINDOPACOM operations and exercises with a specific focus on PACFLT related operations
  • Utilize experience and knowledge to support Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO) focused on PACFLT operations that will ensure freedom of action and mission assurance in all domains throughout the Indo-Pacific
  • Support the integration and application of AI/LM tools to enhance data analysis, reporting accuracy, and operational insights

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, In lieu of degree, at least 10 years’ of combined experience in Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) operations, capability development and/or policy
  • At least 3 years of experience at a Combatant Command, Service Component or equivalent HQ
  • At least 3 years of experience in the Indo-Pacific Area of Operations
  • Familiar with INDOPACOM Theater Campaign Plan (TCP), Deliberate and Crisis Action Plans, and Operations Plans (OPLANS)
  • Experience in writing reports, graphics and information papers
  • Experience analyzing operational data
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with AI or Language Model (LM) tools in system administration, operational planning, or data analysis context
  • Must have an active Top Secret clearance and be SCI eligible. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance.

Nice to have:

  • Master's Degree and/or attendance at Service Command and General Staff College
  • Background in U.S. Navy JEMSO operations in the air domain
  • Experience coordinating with other Department of Defense (DoD) entities, including the Joint Staff, the Office of the Secretary of Defense and INDOPACOM's Service Components as well as non-DoD organizations such as DHS and State Department
  • Graduate of Joint Electronic Warfare Theater Operations Course
  • Familiar with JEMSO applications and databases (FADE/MIST, CED, etc.)
