Job Description

OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Electro Technical Officer (ETO) to join Stena Horizon from 20.06.2026. You will be responsible for the safe and reliable operation of all electrical and electronic systems onboard, supporting safe and efficient vessel operations.

Job Responsibility

  • Operate, maintain and repair all electrical and electronic equipment, including power generation and distribution systems
  • Ensure safe operation of automation, control, navigation and communication systems
  • Carry out planned maintenance, fault finding and troubleshooting on electrical systems and instruments
  • Keep accurate maintenance records and technical documentation
  • Support engine and deck departments with electrical and automation issues
  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and company standards

Requirements

  • Valid Electro Technical Officer (ETO) license and STCW certificates in line with rank
  • Previous sea service as ETO on similar vessels
  • Strong knowledge of marine electrical, automation and control systems
  • Good command of English, spoken and written
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multinational crew
  • Medically fit for sea service
