Job Responsibility

  • Perform electrical maintenance and troubleshooting including electrical wiring, motor controls, sensors, actuators, VFD controls, and motors
  • read and interpret electrical prints
  • understand and modify PLC logic to control machine operations
  • install conduit and pull wire as needed
  • Execute mechanical maintenance and repairs including gearbox and mechanical drive systems, punch press equipment, conveyors, bearings, gears, brakes, and clutches
  • read and interpret mechanical drawings and assembly prints to diagnose and repair mechanical systems
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems by reading schematics, understanding system operations, identifying faulty components, and performing component replacement to restore equipment functionality
  • Conduct preventive maintenance activities including inspecting, cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting machinery according to PM schedules
  • perform calibration and testing to ensure equipment functionality
  • maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used
  • Perform general maintenance tasks including welding and fabrication, painting, building maintenance, and limited plumbing, heating, and air conditioning work to support facility operations and equipment reliability
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations when working on machinery and equipment
  • diagnose malfunctions in electrical and mechanical systems
  • identify and replace or repair faulty components
  • perform other tasks as directed by supervision.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, Trade school or college classes preferred
  • Preferred (8) eight years’ experience in Industrial Manufacturing environment as Electro Mechanic Technician
  • Industrial Electrician with blue print reading skills, PLC and electronics knowledge strongly desired
  • Must be able to read and understand written and verbal directions
  • Must be able to interpret various measuring devices, have good shop math and mechanical abilities
  • Have the ability to troubleshoot in a timely manner different types of problems with automated machinery, presses, furnaces, HVAC, some plumbing, and other types of equipment as needed
  • Must be able to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment and repair it
  • Must be able to read and understand mechanical drawings/blueprints and understand electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics
  • Must be able to weld, have good use of hand tools, power tools and test equipment
  • Good team player, with displayed ability to work independently and safely
  • Computer Literacy, familiarity with basic computer programs for data entry and reporting.
