Electro-mechanical avionics technician level 2

• Conduct standard testing procedures on various equipment and validate the results
• Perform repairs on aviation units in compliance with FAA regulations and in accordance with the Component Maintenance Manual (CMM) requirements
• Disassemble, clean, and visually inspect parts to identify issues or wear
• Reassemble parts, ensuring all measurements meet specified tolerances and requirements
• Accurately track and document all activities, maintaining proper control of parts
• Help maintain shop compliance with regulatory and quality standards
• Contribute to process improvements aimed at reducing cycle time
• Ensure strict adherence to quality standards, with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction
• Apply maintenance manuals to evaluate and determine the acceptability of components
• Regularly update work order information in the ERP system
• Follow established procedures, making adjustments as necessary and promptly notifying supervisors

• Understand and convert torque values between Metric and ASME standards
• Adjust, calibrate, and accurately read all types of torque wrenches
• Use precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges—both analog and digital
• Perform precise measurements using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to adjust shims and ensure mechanical accuracy
• Conduct soldering on electronic components with proficiency
• Demonstrate a full understanding of TSN (Time Since New) and CSN (Cycles Since New) for maintenance scheduling and part replacement
• Test electronic components such as diodes, capacitors, and relays
• interpret unit schematics
• Tighten or loosen bolts/nuts following correct torque specifications and directions
• Inspect and rotate gears within gear trains to verify proper operation
• Identify bolt and nut sizes and install safety-wire where applicable
• Detect corrosion on mechanical parts and determine necessity for replacement
• Read and interpret technical manuals and specifications accurately
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain attention to detail while working efficiently under supervision

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three (3) years of related experience and/or training
• or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Basic level of Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel
• Knowledge of 5S, Lean and Kaizen methods is a plus
• Knowledge of production and repair tools and benches, instrumentation and measuring skills
• Knowledge of FAA regulations and understanding of quality requirements
