We are seeking an Electrician to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business Unit. As part of (SES) Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, it systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets.
Job Responsibility
The Licensed Electrician installs basic electrical equipment and systems in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards.
Assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, conduit, cable, equipment, components and devices associated with electrical equipment, following blueprints of electrical layouts and building plans.
Installing and mounting electronic controls, device, panels, sensors, and components.
Performing interlock wiring as required.
Testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices.
Inspecting installation sites and studying work orders, building plans, and installation manuals in order to determine materials requirements and installation procedures.
Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problems.
Reading contract drawings.
Trouble shooting EMS systems, smart breakers, and relays.
Requirements
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and may meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information
Active Secret clearance is required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with polygraph
Four (4) years of experience working in the electrical industry.
High School diploma or GED required.
Must successfully pass a background check and drug test
Reliable Transportation
Possibility for mandatory overtime, which may fluctuate and include night and weekend work.
Journeyman's license is REQUIRED
Leading teams on large complex installation projects with limited supervision
Leading and documenting daily toolbox talks, ORMs, and Safety Audits
Installation of head end equipment for access control, intrusion detection and CCTV systems
Performing take off project drawings
Documenting daily reports and project progress
Forecasting and managing project labor hours
