Dalkia have an opportunity for an Electrician to join their team supporting the facilities maintenance for our client’s sites in Hove and London. The post will be predominantly based at Hove but will be expected to travel into London Dalkia sites including EDF and Mitsui. The Technician will act as a key focal point for technical interactions for Hove and to be involved in both tactical planning and day-to-day operational delivery of the contracted services.
Job Responsibility:
Adhere to all aspects of Health & Safety on site in accordance with legislation and Dalkia/Customer policies
Ensure first class service is delivered
Propose ideas for technical compliance and excellent service delivery
Lead on compliance, PPM & reactive work
Be flexible to support shortages in labour materials and plant and plan/schedule to avoid issues arising
Be part of the call out rota for the South East
Promote teamwork and networking between all work streams
Proactively support on management of contractors and in-house teams
Investigating availability and suitability of options for alternative service delivery options
Supporting sub-contracted work ensuring value for money, compliance and H&S are always adhered to
Ensuring that agreed work by yourself or contractors has been completed satisfactorily
Ensuring all customers, staff and contractors meet Health & Safety rules for the site
Ensure that all administrative duties are being upheld
Attend regular customer and in-house meetings
Support operations, ensuring we deliver outstanding results
Act as subject matter expert for allocated buildings, managing escalations
Employ effective communication and influencing skills
Identify, own and resolve local customer service issues
Requirements:
Able to take part in on-call rota
Willing to undergo relevant vetting requirements
Strong electrical skills and fault finding knowledge
Experience within the technical FM sector in a similar role, supporting delivery, team player, individual and client relationships leading by example at all times
Able to communicate at all levels
Demonstrable experience of delivering governance and compliance functions
Core H&S certification and experience and lead from the front with H&S being at the forefront of every task
The ability to multitask and prioritise your workload
Confident decision making
Teamwork skills and the ability to lead and motivate others
Good IT/tablet skills
A practical, flexible and innovative approach to work and travel
