Job Description

We are searching for a Electrician to join our rapidly growing team in Burnaby, BC. You’ll use your skills to perform maintenance tasks as well as repairs on power generation and electrical distribution equipment in a safe and professional manner.

Job Responsibility

  • Maintenance of Power Distribution panels, transformers, cables, diesel generators and electrical distribution equipment
  • Maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental gensets, customer equipment and tools
  • Report machine condition to Management
  • Responsible for service documentation
  • Occasional travel to customer sites
  • Rotational on-call schedule
  • Demonstrate equipment for customers
  • Train lower-level technicians as needed
  • Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts
  • Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of experience with repairing and maintaining diesel engines, electrical installs, troubleshooting, control logic or HVAC equipment
  • Intermediate to advanced diagnostic and repair skills for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic and other systems
  • Strong mechanical and electrical background knowledge particularly with various engines
  • Knowledge of electrical codes and electrical equipment
  • Understanding of wiring schematics and diagrams
  • Own the tools applicable to position
  • Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs
