The Georgia Electrician Technician at SPF Screens Awnings is an experienced electrical field professional responsible for performing residential and light commercial electrical work limited to 120-volt receptacles used to power SPF’s motorized screens and awnings. This role works independently on job sites, while remaining under the direct supervision of a Georgia-licensed Electrical Contractor, and does not include crew leadership or foreman responsibilities. The position regularly operates from an installation truck and works alongside SPF installation technicians to complete both the product installation and associated electrical work during the same visit.
Job Responsibility:
Perform residential and light commercial electrical work limited to 120-volt receptacles for motorized screens and awnings
Install new 120V receptacles and extend or modify existing circuits in compliance with NEC, Georgia amendments, and local requirements
Test outlets for proper voltage, grounding, and polarity, and troubleshoot minor electrical issues
Work alongside installation and service technicians to coordinate electrical tasks with product installation during the same visit
Ensure all electrical work is neat, secure, inspection-ready, and adheres to safety protocols
Communicate effectively with install teams, supervisors, and the licensed Electrical Contractor, providing accurate feedback and documentation
Support inspection corrections and escalate code or safety concerns as needed
Requirements:
At least 4 years of hands-on residential electrical experience
Knowledgeable in 120-volt systems and NEC requirements for receptacle installation
Comfortable working independently in occupied residential environments while following established standards
A team player with a professional, customer-facing demeanor and strong communication skills
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and operating an installation truck
Nice to have:
Experience installing outlets for motors or low-load equipment and coordinating electrical work with installation teams
