Job Description:

As an Electrician you'll play a vital role in maintaining the electrical safety and reliability of our operations at Pioneer Mill. You'll be at the forefront of ensuring our equipment and systems run smoothly, helping us maintain the highest safety standards and operational efficiency. This position is based in North Queensland's Burdekin region, known for its stunning landscapes, rich agricultural heritage, and a vibrant community. The Burdekin region offers a fantastic lifestyle with a warm climate, beautiful beaches and a range of recreational activities, making it a great place to live and work. This position follows a Monday to Friday day work roster, year-round.

Job Responsibility:

  • Handle installation, calibration, and maintenance of critical electrical systems
  • Examine, troubleshoot, and fine-tune interconnected circuit systems
  • Manage and maintain departmental plans, databases, and documentation
  • Commission and fine-tune electrical systems
  • Tackle fault finding in advanced electrical control systems
  • Lead and collaborate on special projects
  • Show strong commitment to safety and participate in safety improvement teams

Requirements:

  • Current Queensland Electrical Work Licence
  • Post-trade experience in heavy industry electrical or instrumentation work
  • Current CPR and Low Voltage Rescue certifications
  • Cert 3 or 4 in Instrumentation (preferred)
  • Experience with fixed plant maintenance
  • Familiarity with LV motor control and PLC systems

Nice to have:

  • Cert 3 or 4 in Instrumentation
