We are seeking experienced Electrical Testers to join our team in Dublin. These are full-time, permanent roles offering a fantastic opportunity to work on a high-profile project while enhancing your career with one of Europe’s fastest-growing M&E contractors. As an Electrical Tester, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of electrical installations in line with national regulations and Designer Group standards.
Job Responsibility:
Act as Qualified Certifier for the verification, inspection, and certification of electrical installations in compliance with IS10101 National Wiring Rules and CER requirements
Perform full electrical testing of panels, circuits, fire alarm systems, and live systems in accordance with the technical rules
Complete and maintain accurate inspection and test records on prescribed forms of certification and reporting
Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety requirements and company standards on site
Safeguard unused certificates against loss, theft, or unauthorized use
Support and mentor apprentices, fostering a positive learning culture on site
Requirements:
Fully qualified Electrician, having served a recognized apprenticeship and awarded a National Craft Certificate or equivalent
Successfully completed an accredited course in “Verification, Testing & Certification of Electrical Installations to the National Wiring Rules” within the last 5 years (or 3 years if non-accredited)
Current and valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certificates
Proven experience in electrical testing within industrial or large-scale commercial environments
Be conversant with the current edition of the Technical Rules for the range of electrical works being undertaken, including all published amendments to same, and any other relevant standard or publications
Be conversant with the CRU Criteria Document and understand the roles and responsibilities of a Qualified certifier
Strong knowledge of Health & Safety best practices
Nice to have:
Additional electrical qualifications (e.g., Level 6+ on NFQ)
Up-to-date training in verification and testing as required by Safe Electric
Familiarity with the latest technical rules and IS and EN standards for the range of electrical work undertaken by the Group
