As an Electrical Technician, you will work under expert supervision to perform repairs, preventative maintenance, and calibrations on sophisticated down-hole tool electronics. Your work directly impacts the reliability of Directional/RSS or M/LWD sensors used in the field. This role offers a deep dive into the mechanical and electronic assembly of specialized PSL equipment, providing a foundation for a career in global energy services.
Job Responsibility:
Perform service, cleaning, and preventative maintenance on various M/LWD down-hole tools
Follow strict processes and procedures (Checklists, Dozuki) to assemble and disassemble tools
Conduct daily maintenance checks on shop equipment, including break-out machines, overhead cranes, and forklifts
Manage tool inventory and document service records using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams)
Actively participate in all company safety programs to ensure a zero-incident work environment
Requirements:
Technical school certificate (or equivalent) is required
an Associate degree or higher is preferred
Ability to read and understand both mechanical and electronic schematics
Proficiency with basic hand tools (Multimeter, power supplies, chain tongs, torque wrenches)
Basic computer skills and familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite
Soldering experience and a basic electronic service background are considered strong assets
High attention to detail is a "must"
Ability to handle repetitive, high-demand tasks with precision
