As an Electrical Technician at North East Water, you’ll play a pivotal role in optimising the performance of our water and wastewater infrastructure ensuring reliable and efficient service delivery to our communities. The role involves maintaining and supporting our Electrical, Automation and SCADA systems, while contributing to a variety of diverse and specialised projects.
Job Responsibility:
Breakdown response for electrical and automation equipment
Installation and commissioning of new plant and equipment
Preventive maintenance tasks
Optimising control systems for water and wastewater infrastructure
Provide technical support for operational staff and activities
Monitoring and maintenance of SCADA and telemetry systems
Completion of admin tasks such as timesheets and electronic work orders
Participation in the after hours on call roster
Requirements:
Current Victorian A Grade Electrical License or ability to obtain
Current Driver’s License
Knowledge or experience in the repair, maintenance, design and delivery of industrial control systems
Sound computer skills in a range of software packages including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Nice to have:
Training or qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Industrial Automation or Electrical Engineering is highly desirable
Trade qualifications or equivalent experience in instrumentation
Ability to design and modify electrical schematics with the use of AutoCAD Electrical
