Job Description

P+S Recruitment are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently seeking an Electrical Technician to join their team in Cambridge on a full-time temporary basis for 6-12 weeks

Job Responsibility

Understand and, at all times, comply with the instructions/requirements specified in published company Manufacturing Quality Systems and associated procedure documentation
Read/understand the content of electrical schematic/wiring diagrams and assist in the planning of cable, tray and component layout
Assemble/operate test equipment, diagnose component/system/procedural faults and take the necessary remedial action
Operate/use equipment provided within the production area and report any faults arising
Act as a member of a designated production team, as required
Maintain a high level of personal discipline in the area of timekeeping, work performance and general conduct
Maintain a high level of housekeeping in the production area at all times
any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management.

Requirements

Qualified Electrician with recognised formal training
City and Guilds in Electrical Installation and 16th/17th edition
Understanding of Wellhead Control Panel layout, assembly and testing
Proven track record in small panel assembly
Manual handling training
Lifting and slinging training, if appropriate
Safety awareness training
COSHH training
Risk assessment training
Willingness to adjust personal schedule to benefit production demands.
