The Electrical Technical Lead serves as a senior, hands-on technical resource supporting electrical engineering and electrical technician teams across ASI. This role focuses primarily on day-to-day execution, technical problem-solving, and team enablement.
Job Responsibility:
Act as a hands-on technical escalation point for Electrical Engineers (I-V) and Electrical Assembly/Design Technicians (I-IV)
Support system-level electrical integration, troubleshooting, and validation for autonomous vehicle platforms
Assist teams with component selection, harness design decisions, and integration tradeoffs
Review electrical designs, schematics, harness documentation, and test results for technical quality and consistency
Provide guidance on best practices related to low-voltage vehicle systems, harness architecture, and documentation standards
Collaborate with mechanical, embedded software, systems, and production teams to resolve integration issues
Support prototype builds, HIL testing, vehicle validation, and field deployments as needed
Assist with resolving cross-project electrical issues impacting delivery timelines
Participate in technical interviews for all electrical-related roles, including Electrical Engineers and Electrical Technicians (Assembly and/or Design)
Assist managers with technical skill assessment, leveling input, and interview feedback
Identify recurring technical gaps, inefficiencies, or risks and propose practical improvements
Support managers with targeted technical initiatives or special projects as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related technical field
5+ years of experience in a similar capacity, with prior leadership or technical lead experience preferred
Strong background in robotics systems or relevant engineering disciplines preferred
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in agile environments
Proficiency in design review processes, systems integration, and critical issue resolution
