Job Description:

You will contribute to all electrical systems integration activities related to a TC change / development project / MOD implementation from the technical evaluation of the request/need up to the certification of the change, by providing technical expertise and leadership in all the systems integration aspects (feasibility, space allocation, high-level requirements compliance, regulation constraints).

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensure focal point for all matters related to the installation of electrical systems
  • Act as an expert on his/her domain by ensuring technological and normative watch, creating and approving rules and good practice, providing support to other actors
  • Contribute to update Technical Design Directives
  • Contribute to plan for development and for verification & validation of such solutions
  • Ensure continuity between the feasibility studies and development phases
  • Carry out the concept studies and tradeoff for Electrical System Installation
  • Contribute to issue of Certification Program and associated Means of Compliance
  • Guarantee that due consideration is given to state-of-the-art practices, certification and airworthiness rules, flight safety and sensible product liability policies
  • Support the preparation and development of drawing sets of conceived parts together with the designer, once design is frozen
  • Propose and implement improvements in terms of Electrical System Installation with impact on weight, lead-time and cost of the aircraft
  • Contribute to technical support for all in service aircraft need during the aircraft lifecycle
  • Contribute to technical support for all Manufacturing questions and needs related to Systems installation
  • Approve concessions on production aircraft or equipment
  • Contribute to Continued Airworthiness of product

Requirements:

  • Degree in aeronautical engineering or equivalent
  • 10 years of experience in a similar position (electrical system installation expertise)
  • Deep knowledge in aircraft electrical systems installation (practices, methods, technologies, …)
  • Ability to verify the compliance of a detailed design solution toward baseline of validated requirements
  • Capability to establish good communication and relationships with ATR’s suppliers and with internal stakeholders for daily business
  • Ability to work in a team and in a transverse fast-paced environment with changing priorities and requirements
  • Problem solving and goal oriented
  • Strong experience with Catia V5 for the creation & validation of 3D models
  • DMU understanding and navigation of Product Structure with clear understanding
  • Knowledge on Aircraft build process and basic understanding of Aircraft systems
  • Experience in handling PDM/VPM tools and link to CAD models with design in context environment
  • Knowledge of aeronautical regulations (Part 21, JAR/CS/FAR 25, EWIS, ARP4754, ARP4761)
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written French and English
